OneNote 2013/2016 Instructions

Initial Configuration of OneNote

Open OneNote by clicking the start button in the bottom left corner.  Open 'OneNote 2013' or 'OneNote 2016'.

Click the 'Sign In' option.
A Microsoft Sign in screen will appear.  Click the X in the top right corner to close the screen.  Cancel any other sign in requests.  OneNote will open, but is not connected to your account yet.  We will do this in the steps below.
A popup will appear regarding OneNote hyperlinks.  Click 'Yes' or 'Make this version default' to make OneNote the default application to open OneNote hyperlinks.

Office 2013 – Connecting CSCC OneDrive services

Click File > Account > Sign In.
Select 'Work or School Account'.
Sign in with your cscc.edu credentials.
NOTE: If you do not see any services connected and were already signed in, you will need to sign out and sign back in.

Office 2016 - Connecting CSCC OneDrive services (Skip this section if you already configured Office 2013 above)

Click File > Account > Sign In.  Sign in with your cscc.edu credentials.  Your cscc.edu services should now be connected.
NOTE: If you do not see any services connected and were already signed in, you will need to sign out and sign back in.

Creating a new notebook in OneDrive

There are multiple ways to do this step.  Below is one way to do it.
In OneNote, click 'File > New > OneDrive – Columbus State Community College > Browse'.
Name your Notebook and click 'Create'.
Once created, a popup will appear to share it.  You can share it now or later. 

Sharing a Notebook

In OneNote, click 'File > Share'.
Add the email address or name of the person you would like to share the notebook with.  Apply to correct permissions and click the 'Share' button.
